Jan P. Krentz
Jan Krentz is a nationally recognized quilt instructor, author and designer. Winner of the 1998 Teacher of the Year award, Jan's motivating workshops are packed with practical tips, techniques and methods to ensure success.
She is the author of Lone Star Quilts & Beyond, Hunter Star Quilts & Beyond and Diamond Quilts and Beyond. Jan lives with her husband in Poway, California.
Workshop 1 - Colorwash Hunter Star
1 Day Workshop: Tuesday February 16, 2010 - 9:30am to 3:30pm
Workshop Location: The Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre, 4 Credit Union Drive, Toronto
Fee: $80.00 (class fee) + $35 (optional kit fee of precut fabrics including an extra fusible foundation panel; kit must be purchased in advance) - Total $80 without kit and $115 with kit)
Using a new product designed specially for Jan's Hunter Star, learn the technique of composing a scene on a fusible foundation that will sew up into a 15" x 15" finished panel. Workshop focus: fabric selection & placement for the artistic design, construction technique, and quilting recommendations. One fusible foundation panel is included with the class. Additional foundation panels may be purchased from Jan separately.
Maximum 20 students.
Suitable for beginner to intermediate.
Workshop 2 - Summer Salsa Lone Star Quilt
2 Day Workshop: Wednesday February 17 & Thursday February 18, 2010 (2 day class) - 9:30am to 3:30pm.
