York Heritage Quilters Guild
For each quilt show, the members of YHQG present a stunning variety of quilts in all shapes and sizes, worked in an astonishing array of techniques - from traditional quilt to art quilt, as well as quilted garments and dolls. With over 425 members in the guild, that's a lot of variety!! Our next show, A Celebration of Quilts XI, will be held in November 2010. Please join us then as we celebrate our craft, our love of fabric and embellishments, and the exquisite talent of our members.
A Celebration of Quilts X

A Celebration of Quilts X was a big success! The show was well attended; the quilts, garments, and dolls were first-class; the vendors were busy; the Gift Shop was abuzz with activity all weekend long; and the Silent Auction generated huge excitement, especially on Sunday afternoon nearing the close of bidding!
The viewer's choice selections will be awarded at the November meeting, and Charlene Hearst, quilt show chair, will present some of the highlights of the show.
Your Quilt Show committee has one more wrap-up meeting to review all aspects of the show, and to discuss ideas for improving the next one. Please consider volunteering to stand on the committee for A Celebration of Quilts XI in two years time.
In the near future, pictures of quilts from A Celebration of Quilts X will be available for viewing in the gallery. In the meantime, peruse the winning quilts from previous shows, and the quilts that have been donated to the Quilt Show charity.
