It's back again . . . the York Heritage Quilters Guild T.G.I.F. Awards! A fun and friendly competition open to most (but not all) members of York Heritage. If you always start a quilting project, focus on it, and complete it quickly, I'm sorry, you won't be able to enter this competition. But for the rest of us, mired in UFO's, here is an incentive to complete one of them!
Criteria are as follows:Completed quilts will be displayed at the York Heritage Annual Meeting in May, 2008, and those present will vote for Viewer's Choice in a variety of categories (to be revealed only at that meeting!). Entries will qualify for more than one category. Winners in each category will receive a York Heritage T.G.I.F. (Thank Goodness It's Finished) Award! Pretty exciting, don't you agree? And your quilt will be done in time to enter it in the October, 2008 Celebration of Quilts show!!
So, dig out that UFO, photograph it at its current stage, and
bring the photo attached to the bottom portion of this sheet (click
here to print your form) to the October or November meetings in 2007, or
mail it to Susan Walker Kennedy, P.O. Box 35510, 2528 Bayview Ave., North York,
ON, M2L 2Y4. Then you have six months to complete it and bring it to the May
2008 meeting -- and bask in the admiration (and envy) of fellow guild members!
