- 1st Workshop
The Shaded Four-Patch block was suggested by Sandy Lindal,
and proved to be an excellent choice. Kay Phillips led our workshop which
resulted in the donation of close to 900 blocks.

Designing a Shaded Four-Patch Heritage Quilt
|
Six quilts were created and have been donated to the following organizations:

THE QUILT: A Breast Cancer Support Project.
A Heritage Garden queen-sized quilt was offered at the Gala auction
at Stratford Festival Theatre on November 10th, 2001.

KIDS HELP PHONE, Canada's only toll-free
national bi-lingual telephone counseling and referral service for children
and youth Lap quilt to be offered for silent auction at the Mothers Day
Breakfast fundraiser.

OLDER WOMEN'S NETWORK, a 'voice for older
women' OWN works to achieve a caring society in which older women have
the opportunity to live in security and dignity. A 'Heritage Spring
Garden' Lap quilt contributed to OWN's 2001 fund-raising.

MOORELANDS COMMUNITY SERVICES auctioned
A Heritage Spring Garden lap quilt at their annual dinner
to raise funds for their BABY BUNDLES for new mums in need.

THICKSON'S WOODS LAND TRUST is dedicated
to the preservation of a key piece of original habitat along the Lake
Ontario shore east of Toronto. 'An Autumn Walk in the Woods' will
be part of the 2002 fund raising.
